The ClieNFarms video competition is a video competition (“Competition”) open to everyone over 18 (on 31st December 2024) of all nationalities. The only restriction to entry is on members of the ClieNFarms project team, who may not submit videos.
It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they have read and abided by the terms and conditions and submitted the relevant entry forms and consent statement.
Videos requirements
Videos must be filmed in a European country.
Videos must have been taken within the five years immediately prior to the closing date.
Videos that have previously won an award in a major competition are not eligible. (The ClieNFarm judging committee reserves the right to decide if a competition is ‘major’. If you are unsure of the eligibility of a video you are intending to enter, please email Dina Lopes (dlopes@consulai.com), Mariana Pedro (mpedro@consulai.com) or Isidora Colic (isidora.colic@biosense.rs).
Videos must be original, created by the participant, and must not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights.
Each video must be between 40s and 1 minute and in an accepted format: MP4, MOV, or AVI, with a minimum resolution of 720p (1080p preferred).
Once you have filled in the entry form, upload your video to the ClieNFarms website send the video via WeTransfer (or similar platform).
Submission Rules
The Competition opens on March 1st2025 and closes at MIDNIGHT (Central European Time) on the 31st August 2025. No videos can be accepted after this time.
Participants may submit up to three videos in total.
File names should match the title of the video as listed on the entry form. A reference number will be assigned upon submission.
Integrity and Adjustments
Physical alterations to the landscape or environment for the purpose of creating the video are prohibited.
Digital enhacements are allowed, but the integrity and authenticity of the subject must be mantained. ClieNFarms reserves the right to disqualify entries that appear overly manipulated.
Judging Process
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges from ClieNFarms, representing the project’s work packages. Judging criteria will include:
Relevance: alignment with competition themes and representation of a behaviour changes.
Aesthetic value: creativity, visual quality, and emotional appeal.
Impact: storytelling, authenticity, and memorability.
The winning videos will be edited before publication so that they contain the project’s logos and disclaimers.
Winners and highly commended participants will be notified via email and announced in September 2025 on the ClieNFarms webiste and social media channels.
Prizes
There will be three winners chosen from all videos applied. Each winner will receive prize of a trip to a city in Belgium (to be confirmed) and the chance to attend the ClieNFarms Final Conference in Brussels in October/November 2025. The prize includes one night’s accommodation and travelling expenses for the 3 winners to a Belgian city and the chance to attend the ClieNFarms Final Conference. The winners will also receive a certificate of recognition.
The winning videos will also be shown and praised on the ClieNFarms website and social media, as well as at the ClieNFarms Final Conference.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. ClieNFarms reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable value in unforeseen circumstances.
General
ClieNFarms reserves the right to change prizes to ones of comparable value if required by unforeseen circumstances. Prizes are not transferable and no cash equivalent will be available for non-cash prizes.
If any winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, ClieNFarms reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up.
ClieNFarms reserves the right to modify, cancel or terminate the Competition given unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.
Copyright and permissions
By submitting videos to the Competition, each participant confirms and warrants that:
they are the sole author of each entry and that it is their original work.
they own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of each video.
they have the prior permission of those pictured in the video (or, where the video shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) for the usage rights required.
they have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the video that would conflict with uses to be made by the Competition (see #15 ); and
they have received any necessary permissions from the owner(s) of buildings, trademarks and copyrighted materials included in submitted videos for the usage rights required by the Competition.
Reproduction
By entering the Competition, you grant ClieNFarms a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, any video for any purpose connected with the Competition. This shall include, but is not limited to:
any display at events;
on a secure sharepoint for judging purposes;
on the ClieNFarms website;
on social media.
The description of any video will also be subject to these conditions.
The copyright of each video belongs to its respective author.
Liability and Dislaimer
ClieNFarms is not responsible for lost, damage, or late submissions due to technical errors or other unforeseen issues.
ClieNFarms cannot accept liablility for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment incurred as a result of participation in, or other involvement with, the competition, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
ClieNFarms reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
Removal of Submissions
Participants may withdraw or replace their entries at any time before the submission desdline. Once the deadline has passed, no modifications or replacements can be made.
Data protection and Confidentiality
Personal data submitted as part of the entry process will be used exclusively for the purposes of the competition and handled in compliance with GDPR regulations.
General Terms
By participating, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Breaches of the rules may result in disqualidication. ClieNFarms reserves the right to modify these terms, with any updates communicated via the official website or email.
