This was the 1st of a series of public policy workshops organized by ClieNFarms, an H2020 project which will test solutions for climate-neutral farms. In this series, ClieNFarms intends to stimulate a dialogue between scientists and policymakers and raise awareness about the outcomes of the project. This workshop raised the debate around the availability and affordability of food without degrading the productive capacity of our agroecosystems. It has also discussed solutions for climate-neutral farming while ensuring food security, being these solutions required at the farm level and across the entire food production system. The debate also focused on the EU’s dependence on feed and fertilizer imports as well as on the need for dietary change and reduction of food waste.
