ClieNFarms Launches Climate-Smart Micro-Learnings in Collaboration with
Teagasc

ClieNFarms, in partnership with Teagasc and other European partners, is excited to introduce a new series of micro-learnings – brief, engaging online training sessions tailored for farmers, advisors, and students across Europe. These modules, designed to take just 10 minutes to complete, provide insights into climate-smart farming practices.

What Are Micro-Learnings?

Micro-learnings are compact educational modules that focus on delivering practical, science-based knowledge to support the transition to climate-neutral farming. Each module includes an interactive quiz to help participants assess their understanding of the featured technologies and their real-world applications.

Where Can I Access Micro-Learnings?

Currently, micro-learnings are being shared through ClieNFarms’ social media channels. In the coming months, they will also be hosted on a dedicated webpage, making them easily accessible across Europe. These modules will be available in English and the local language of the author who developed them, ensuring regional relevance.

Designed for Blended Training

The micro-learnings have been created by the I3S regions to support blended training, which combines online modules with face-to-face learning experiences. This approach not only enhances accessibility but also fosters meaningful partnerships with advisory/extension organisations and agricultural schools across Europe, promoting the adoption of climate-smart technologies and solutions within and beyond the project regions and beyond the lifetime of the ClieNFarms project.

Example: The LESS Micro-Learning

The first micro-learning we have released is “What is low emissions slurry spreading and why should I use it?” which was developed by Dr. Sarah Walsh, Research Officer at Teagasc (Ireland). This module highlights practical strategies for farmers to reduce GHG emissions while optimising resource efficiency. Modules like this will be shared widely via ClieNFarms’ social media platforms, ensuring they reach farmers and stakeholders throughout Europe.
