ClieNFarms at GO WIDE, in Portugal
On November 20th, 2024, the ClieNFarms project proudly participated in GO WIDE, an event held in Portugal and organized by Agroglobal WIDE. This event brought together more than 160 participants, including stakeholders from European innovation projects and PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan) projects, all dedicated to driving transformation in the agricultural, food, and forestry sectors.
The event focused on showcasing innovation projects, promoting collaboration, sharing knowledge, and strengthening the practical applicability of the solutions they have developed.
The day featured a wide range of activities that encouraged meaningful exchanges between participants. Panel discussions served as a stage for experts, project leaders, and stakeholders to share ideas, face challenges and celebrate advances in the application of innovative solutions for the agricultural sector. These discussions were complemented by networking opportunities, where participants made connections, explored synergies and exchanged ideas on various project initiatives.
Practical Application of Innovation
A core theme of GO WIDE was ensuring that the solutions developed by innovation projects reach the field effectively. Recognizing that the applicability of solutions determines the true impact of innovation, the event equipped participants with tools and strategies to bridge the gap between development and real-world implementation.
Knowledge Sharing and Visibility
GO WIDE brought together institutional figures, keynote speakers, and panel discussions, creating a space for sharing experiences, tools, and mechanisms related to the practical application of innovation. Participants also learned about key innovation projects currently underway, including ClieNFarms. This visibility was further amplified through extensive communication efforts before and after the event, ensuring that innovative solutions reached a wide audience of stakeholders.
Interaction and Collaboration
The event provided multiple moments of interaction, allowing participants to engage directly with the solutions presented by the innovation projects. These interactions facilitated feedback collection, meeting planning, and the identification of synergies and collaboration opportunities, driving future cooperation and shared success.
Throughout the day, attendees gained deeper insights into the ClieNFarms project, which is committed to demonstrating, evaluating, and improving technical, organisational, and financial solutions at the farm level. The project’s work is integral to achieving climate neutrality in European agriculture by 2050, aligning with the EU’s ambitious sustainability goals.
GO WIDE’s unique combination of networking, panel discussions, and project showcases created a powerful platform for innovation, enabling initiatives like ClieNFarms to maximize their impact and contribute meaningfully to the future of European agriculture.
