New ClieNFarms activities at The University of Leeds
On February 22nd, the University’s active involvement in the ClieNFarms project took center stage at the Energy Leeds Agri-Energy stakeholder consultation and networking event in Harrogate. Presenting comprehensive details of the project, the University engaged with various companies dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from livestock farming while exploring avenues for energy generation.
Underscoring their commitment to sustainability, on February 29th, the university hosted a Farm Decarbonization Planning Meeting at the National Pig Centre. Attended by University staff, the meeting was structured around the ClieNFarms climate solutions and aligned with the University’s ambitious target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030. With ample groundwork to cover, the event served as a pivotal moment in strategizing for sustainable farm practices.
ClieNFarms will feature at the University of Leeds stand at the Low Carbon Agriculture show in Warwickshire. Stay tuned for updates on our efforts towards sustainable farming practices.
